Eight and a half years ago, I asked Y to marry me.
Seven and a half years ago, we got married in front of over a hundred of our friends and family members.
Today, I asked Y to Civil Union me in New Jersey. She said yes.
On July 10, 2007, our eighth wedding anniversary, Y and I are gonna go get CUed.
Today is a good day.
